Get Focused
Don’t make a huge list of unattainable goals that you won’t stick to. Think logically and realistically and base your goals on things you can actually achieve. You only have so much time, focus and energy, so dedicate it to really getting the right things done. The New Year is a fresh opportunity to go for it and move forward, with focus.
Change your Perspective
This simple exercise is all about changing your negative thoughts and former bad habits and replacing them with more positive ones. Instead of thinking things like “This is too hard” or “I’m never getting this done, it’s just too much” you can begin appreciating your journey and practicing self-love; knowing you will eventually get things done and reach your goals.
Recognize your Different Levels of Success
Always remember your goal and why you’re doing it in the first place. Remind yourself how much your life will improve because of it. Stop looking at what you haven’t achieved and focus on what you already have.
Remove Buzzkills
Buzzkills are basically anyone or anything that fail to support you and your goals. These are the types of people who say things like ‘It’s too hard to start a business,’ or, ‘You’ll never lose this much weight, stop trying.’ These opinions are nowhere near as important as your own, so bid them adieu and keep moving forward.
Set and Keep High Standards for yourself
When you keep pushing forward on tough days and come closer to achieving your goals, you’ll find your fears beginning to melt away. Keep your standards high and refuse to settle for mediocre results and you’ll get to your goal, with power.
