From not knowing how to make your living space be practical or look Instagrammable, the furnishing struggle is totes real! But that’s where Furniture Scout comes in. Meet Injie Tarek, a 32 year old Egyptian Instapreneur (yes, this term should definitely be a thing by now) that’s come to rescue you with her vast knowledge in interior design, furniture shopping and space utilization. “I graduated from the department of architectural engineering, faculty of engineering, at MSA, and studied history at France’s École des Beaux-Arts,” Tarek told us. “I was introduced to interior design and furniture as a kid through my father. He works in the business of antiques. I now work as the design director at Khalifa Architects.”

Tarek created this Instagram account because she noticed that most of her clients don’t have any idea about what is trendy, or how much do products usually cost and everything in between. “This is why I’ve created Furniture Scout; to shed light on the amazing products we have right here in Egypt, and Instagram is all about the visuals which exactly what interior design is all about,” Tarek adds. “Furniture Scout is a guide to everything furniture in Egypt. People can ask me about furnishing, suppliers or even interior designers.”

What makes Tarek’s work pop and stand out is that she introduces her audience to brands and items you don’t usually bump into. “This is a very useful business if you’re furnishing your home and are clueless when it comes to local products around Cairo. These are brands I have never heard of,” says Dina Hashish, one of her new fans, on social media.
