The Red Sea Mountain Trail is the first long-distance hiking trail in Egypt, and a sister project of the award-winning Sinai Trail.

Created by the Bedouins of the Maaza tribe, one of Egypt’s biggest Bedouin tribes; it is a 170km, 10 day hiking route that shows the best of the mountains outside Hurghada. The project is 100% owned and managed by the Bedouin community and its goal is to boost a new kind of tourism in the region: specifically sustainable adventure tourism that creates jobs and opportunities.
