It took women a spectacular amount of time throughout history to develop a voice and now that we have it, we will never be silent. This year the SHE CAN event aims to economically empower women through education, training and by linking them to all the possible resources they may need to move forward. ‘Successful Failures’ is this year’s theme, ensuring that learning and failing go hand in hand and that in order to succeed you must fall and try over and over again.  Here’s a list of inspiring women speakers you have to make sure to catch at this year’s event, taking place on March 8th!

Caroline Maher

Caroline Maher is the youngest member of the Egyptian parliament and a world champion in Taekwondo. She previously won fifth place at the World Championship in 2001.

Nabila Makram

Nabila Makarem is the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs. Makram also finished her diplomatic work as First Secretary at the Egyptian Embassy of Rome, Italy in 2007. In addition to representing Egypt as Vice-Consul at the Egyptian Council in Dubai in 2013.
