Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree on the 29th of March approving cooperation protocols with the International Labor Organization (ILO). The goal of the protocols is to develop the private sector in Egypt and create new job opportunities.

According to Egypt Independent, the protocols will work towards supporting private sector investments in general as well as supporting entrepreneurship and promoting the development of citizens’ business skills in Egypt’s rural areas. Similar co-operation occurred back in 2015 between Egypt and the ILO that aimed at improving job conditions and increasing job opportunities.

The International Labor Organization is the only tripartite organization of the UN. Through giving employers, workers and governments to set labor standards, develop policies and devise programs promoting decent work for all women and men around the 187 member states of the UN.
