The 7th Edition Of The AMF To Kick Off This Thursday To Discuss Media Literacy And Sustainable Development

The seventh edition of the Alexandria Media Forum (AMF) is set to kick-off this coming Thursday the 18th of April, to discuss topics related to media literacy and sustainable development in the country. The forum entitled “Media Information Literacy and Sustainable Development,” aims to highlight mass media education at universities throughout the duration of three consecutive days, in partnership with the American University in Cairo.

Hosted on campus, at the Kamal Adham Center, the forum will accommodate around 30 workshops undertaking the relationship between sustainable development and media, content creation and the use of modern technology in teaching media, guaranteeing credibility and data journalism.

Around 250 participants from different Arab countries will be attending the forum, in addition to 52 trainers, speakers and lecturers coming from four different countries: France, Sweden, Jordan and Yemen. The Alexandria Media Forum was first established in the year 2012, aiming to raise the level of proficiency of media practitioners in different fields including: journalism, TV, radio and digital media.
