Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative (ANPI) is offering you an opportunity to pitch your entrepreneurial idea to Jack Ma himself and compete for a share of US$ 1 million! Jack Ma is a Chinese business mogul and co-founder of Alibaba group; a gargantuan multinational e-commerce enterprise.
Among the competition’s advisory board are: Humanitarian Graça Machel (South African President Nelson Mandela’s widow) and Ban Ki-moon, 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations.
All entrepreneurs can apply as long as they are from an African country. ANPI is aiming to fund 10 finalist entrepreneurs with a total of US $1 million and a chance to pitch your idea to Jack Ma and the rest of the judges. Applications are open until June 30th and the 10 finalists will be announced by October 2019. ANPI has declared its partners, including our homegrown RiseUp as a North African Partner.
RiseUp hosts annual summits enthusiastically attended by global entrepreneurs to offer sessions and speeches to young startups alongside numerous hackathons and satellite events. This year they are hosting the launch of ANPI and conducting two panels; one tackling how investors are shifting their radars to the African continent and the other will dig deeper into how entrepreneurs can help solve Africa’s biggest problems.
