Khaled Megahed, a spokesperson from the Ministry of Health and Population, has publicized that Egypt has witnessed significant progress in the treatment of Virus C. As part of the “100 Million Healthy Lives” campaign, 45 Million citizens were diagnosed with Virus C and are hopefully on their way to recovery.
The Ministry has also promised to eliminate Virus C from Egyptian grounds by 2022. Extending the initiative of terminating Virus C, the minister has revealed the ministry’s decision to treat Africans from Hepatitis C, starting with the Nile Basin countries that have around 3.7 million infected people.
