Meet the Winners from #RiseUp18’s Pitch Competition

This year’s RiseUp was an outstanding event for Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. With the various informative workshops and the amazing, distinctive startups, everyone was a true champion.

But as they say, hard work pays off and dedication is what makes some stand out. Argineering, luckily made it to the first place, winning $50,000 investment by 500 startups, a membership to FBStart’s bootstrap (a program designed to help early-stage mobile startups), 10,000 EGP credit from Uber, and AI/blockchain course for developers by IBM.

The second and third place went to MAYDAY and Vetwork, receiving fast-tracking to the bootcamp program by Falak, FBStart automatic membership, 5,000 EGP for the second, and 2,500 EGP for the third credit from Uber; also, AI/blockchain course for developers by IBM.

Garment IO, was announced as the crowd champion, winning a free ticket for one of Europe’s biggest entrepreneurial Summits by DealMatrix. And last but not least, Takestep got the social impact award, winning fast-tracking to Start Egypt’s program.
