First of all, on this very special day, I would like to give a very big shout out to all the exceptional women out there. To the women who strive to always be on top of everything, who break norms to make their dreams come true, and who prove to themselves that they’re full and capable of doing anything that they set their minds to.
And this brings me to share, with all of you, my admiration for Shell Helix’s new digital campaign. A campaign that sheds light on the inspirational journeys of women, from all over Egypt.
Coincidentally whilst scrolling through my Instagram, I came across a post from Yara Shalaby, the first Egyptian female rally champion, revealing that she has teamed up with Shell Helix, to urge all women to uncover their true worth by sharing their inspiring stories.
After doing some investigative digging, I found out that this exceptional digital campaign is a continuation to Shell’s 2018 “Driven by Passion” initiative. Believing in the power and importance of women, Shell’s Helix initiative was designed to support female role models and bring attention to their successful journeys in various fields.
Shell Helix started by sponsoring the one and only Yara Shalaby, who defied social norms as a woman and a mother as well, by becoming an icon in rally driving. But Shell didn’t stop there! This month, they decided to carry forward their faith in women and came up with a super fire campaign that encourages all women to proudly share their inspiring journeys, in any field. The aim of this campaign is to inspire other women to break out of the cage and reach out for their dreams. On top of that, the person with the most inspiring story will get 50,000 L.E, to start their journey of making a difference.
I think it’s worth mentioning, that a big entity like Shell is giving women credit, acknowledgment, and support for the extraordinary efforts and contributions they make in different aspects of our society. This is how change is done. People need to see how significant it is to empower women! When you empower women, believe me, you empower the world.
