Film critic Essam Zakaria, will be the chairman of the 21st edition of Ismailia Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts from 10 to 16 April. Khalid Abdul Jalil, head of the National Center for Cinema and head of this year’s festival, says that the festival’s main focus will be honoring the Egyptian-African year.
According to Egypt Today, there will be two different judging panels. One for long feature films and the other for short and animation films. Attempts are being made to avoid all organizational problems of last year’s festival. More info will be discussed in a press conference that will take place beginning of April.
